About Me!

Hello! Welcome to my blog - here you'll find tips for pre-dents, musings about adventures from my gap year, and everyday babblings as a current fourth year dental student at UCLA - or D4 as we like to call them :) I recently matched to University of Washington for residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and will be headed to Seattle for the next 6 years!

A little bit about myself, I went to undergrad at UC Berkeley, where I studied molecular cell biology as a pre-dental student. Maybe it sounds fancy, but it's not - it's just biology of small things. And I'm small! So it's a match made in heaven.

Anyway, I hopped on that struggle bus for 4 eventful years, doing a bunch of random things - like singing in acapella groups, training for marathons, and crocheting a giant blanket. I applied to dental schools for the 2012-2013 cycle, and am so grateful I get to be back in my hometown at UCLA :)

Hence, Bear to Bruin - get it?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Rachel! I'm a first year dental student too. My undergrad major was also in cellular biology!

Looking forward to reading more of your adventures!

PS: Your blog layout is so cute.
